seen a mach 1 in a magazine with some 345s intended for a viper on tha back think he switched to a 6.5 offset and like a 1/4 spacer.
o and actually the baseball bat things true alot of people on a budget do it but to do it rite theres a tool that actually attaches to your hub or axle and it has a roller on it and goes around the circumference of your inner fender well on the rim face side to give more clearence for the tire.

2" wide masking tape all along the fender
Rubber Mallot or Dead Blow
2x4 about 6-8 inches long
Find where the tire starts to rub, and start there evenly distributing LIGHT blows to the INSIDE LIP while holding the block of wood on the outside of the fender to obsorb the impact evenly. This WILL NOT hurt the paint if the paint is laid correctly and you take your time...
I'VE DONE ABOUT 50 OF THESE IN MY LIFE... THE BASEBALL THING IS A MYTH AND ONLY A MORON WOULD TRY AND DISTORT A FENDER BY USING A BAT! The Idea of that came back in the 50's was gasser's actually pulling the fenders out away from the tire and wheel. THats more along the lines of a "wide body kit" than anything.
