I just try to to the work myself. I try to read a lot and spend time on forums also. Not just this forum. I have also spend time on LS1, RX8, S2000 etc forums in order to learn about the cars. I know more about the cars, upgrades and some mechanical workings rather than how to fix stuff. I just try to read and do.

Graduated from UTI and now am a technician at a local ford dealer. nothing like experience, when you get out of school, HS or college and go to work for a shop they are gonna make you an apprentice first, so you learn from the tech that has been there for a long time. so thats how i learned, hands on working on customer cars and also just tinkering with my own. but most definately best way to learn about cars is to hear, feel, and smell them. you cant understand what a creak, tap, tick, tock, groan, or knock is from a book, only from experience of hearing it for yourself same goes for the smells
