Iso's?

A couple quick questions about spring isolators. Anyone running aftermarket springs with the iso's for a little bit more of a drop? Also are there any effects other than noise by not using the iso's? And if you aren't running iso's can you show me a pic and also what springs you have? Thanks.

if you take off both isolators (top and bottom), it'll lower your car another 1/2" , there are a few people on the forum that has done it. from what i've heard, even when you take off the isolators, you dont hear much "noise". hopefully someone who has done it will come in and chime for ya with pics since im a bit tired to use the search feature[8D] try it and you'll find it.

I once took off all the iso's and sprayed undercoating on the spring ends and the control arm seats and it worked great. No noises, but it seemed a bit more harsh than with the iso's.

how much of a drop if you only take say one of the isos off in the front, such as the top one.

remember if you take off the isos, you will be lower and if you already have springs installed, them you should probably get it realligned. Also if you went with the prokit and took the isos off you would probably need c/c plates. just keep that in mind.

EDIT: if you were wondering what i have in my signature, itis prokit with the isos and no cc plates.

RE: Iso's?

I removed the iso's when I put my "c" springs in. It gave me a full 1 1/2" drop in front. They claim 1 - 1 1/4" with the iso's. It has bee that way for 8 months and no noises whatsoever. It doesn't seem any harsher of a ride than any other lowered mustangs I've ridden in.

Edit: you will definately want to get it aligned whether you use the iso's or not.

Just what I wanted to hear tim2002gt cuz I also got the C springs and i was wondering if I could them to be 1.5 lower. I need an alignment anyways so that's why I figured I'd get the springs and make a one time thing.

Eibach Prokit isolators removed from the front. No noise, slightly firmer ride but more of a benefit than anything.
The top ISO is the really think one the lower is more of a sleeve. Both of mine are removed.
