Yeah but they make aftermarket twin turbo ferrari's and lamborghini's that can do that too. Im talking about stock cars. Stock 3000GT VR-4's arent that quick. The newest ones did the 1/4 in mid 13's. . . .

o ya true true. dang i never relaized how much potential the stangs have... i mean i knew they were fast but when you start to compare them to ferraris and lambos. it makes our cars sound good. haha

1/4 mile, whoopee......god help you if you run into those $250k cars on a curvy open highway....
Yeah really. 200+ mph supercars ftl [:@]

The thing is most cars like Ferrari's, Lambo's, Aston's, and Porsche's are made and geared not for the 1/4 but for the open highway and for long windy german and italian highways. Thats where they would leave us in the dust. Shoot an RX-8 would eat almost all of us alive in that situation. I know someone with a Stage 3 roush and an RX-8 and he says the Roush cant even touch the RX-8 as far as handling goes. But in a straight line we all know the RX wont have a chance. So you have to fight them in your own territory. As in get them from a light or from a slow roll and dont take it up past 100 . . . not that i would ever condone street racing. . .im just saying if you lined up next to one at the track . . atleast you know where you stand.

I dunno about the rest of them, but I think your crazy if you think a basic head/cam combo making maybe 320-330 WHP is going to outrun a decently driven 450 horsepower viper.

They might only run 13s IF they had the stock tires on them... but its not likely being this old. 450+ horspower + car as light/lighter than ours = ownage. The only reason they weren't cracking 12s stock is the 60'.

You have to remeber that alot of these cars are not setup for 1/4 mile drag racing... long gear ratios and not very agressive 1-2-3 gearsets.

Dude that didnt really make sense but anyways what numbers do you want? Im not making this stuff up. I can get you the tested 1/4 times for any of the cars i listed. For example:

1993 Dodge Viper RT/10- 13.2
1998 Ferrari 456M- 5.2 13.5
2001Ferrari550 Barchetta Pininfarina- 13.3
1996 Ferrari F355 Spider- 13.4
2001 Ferrari 360 Spider F1- 13.2
1986 Lamborghini Countach 5000S- 13.7
1995 Lamborghini Diablo VT- 13.2

I can keep going if you want

And as for you. You should know more than most people that hp means nothing. Suspension, tires, and especially gear ratios are everything.

By the way the first Vipers had only 400 hp and had a 3.08 rear end gear ratio and had a claimed 1/4 of 12.5 but the best tested was 13.3 with a professional driver. It wasnt until 96 that the vipers had 450 hp. Thats when they were pumping out mid to low 12 second 1/4's

And ill be the first to admit 90% of those cars will run away from us at around 100 mph or so. . . But im just talking about 1/4 mile here. As if you were to run into these guys at the drag strip.
