Default Stroker kits? (noob questions)

Anyone have any info on them since the search button doesn't work? About the only thing I know is an increase in displacement, can anyone else fill in the blanks for me? Prices, pro cons, places to purchase! Thanks!

he made crazy torque numbers... so increased torque would be a plus haha...

you can put 5.0 emblems on and make people look twice... thats a plus hahaha

thats the probe 5.1 stroker kit. if its like my 5.0 then you will see substantial power gains over the stock, but dont look for 400rwhp off this though. i would guess about a 40-50 rwtq gain and around that area (25-30) in HP.

He made crazy torque becuase of the nitrous. With any motor nitrous will increase torque more than forced induction will. Im always a supporter or strokers. There is no replacement for displacement. But unless you're serious about racing and plan to add some power adder later down the road, like Zack did, its not really worth the money. If you need a new short block or want a forged short block then i say go for it. But just to change out a perfectly good short block becuase you want a few more cubic inches you wont be happy. But i know they have a 350 stroker kit for the 5.4s and those things make some crazy numbers. A 4v 350 5.4 (5.7) is my dream mod motor for my car. . . hmm or maybe a 6.8 V-10 lol

a good place for a stroker block is MMR performance

the 6.8 is a pig, i thought about doing the swap into a 95 gt roller, but the power to weight just isnt there. dont get me wrong it would still preform decently, but all it is is the 5.4 with two more pistons, same bore and stroke. i still might do it once i move, just to say i've gto a v-10 stang.

You really need P&P heads with these 2vs to take full advantage of the longer stroke (more air to pump through the heads). Most people who have them likethem. I agree with the above though, it would be awaste of money to tear your engine down justto do a stroker kit and nothing else.
