Full bolt ons and a tune. I have [ul][*]Longtube headers[*]O/R H pipe[*]Flowmaster mufflers[*]Underdrive pulleys[*]K&N air filter w/ removed silencer[*]75MM throttle body/plenum[*]a candy bar[*]custom dyno tune
[/ul]and I make 259 rwhp. There will be some people who have the same mods that claim they make more, closer to about 270rwhp. Keep in mind each dyno reads differently than other dynos.

this confuses me, did they make WS6 trans am in the LT1 era? I thought they came out with the WS6 with the LS1?

I think the WS6 was available from 96 up, which includes the LT1.

300 crank horsepower wouldn't be too hard to reach. Just like said above, full bolt on's and a tune will put you there. My mods: PI swap, K&N, 70mm tb, BBK h-pipe, Flowmaster exhaust, and an X3 and I made numbers in my sig. But keep in mind what 99GTvert said about dyno's reading different. You mightput down270 onepull and 260 another pull.

might want to get rid of the side exhaust, they are no good. and dont go with shortie headers, get the longtubes. longtubes, midpipe, some kind of catback, t body and plenum, intake, pulleys, and a tune and u should b good

At the crank all you need is Full exhaust, CAI, TB/Plen, And a set of cams. I make 260rwhp so figure what ever % for drivetrain loss and I'm pretty close without cams.

definitely full boltns and a good tune...you may or may not need cams to reach 260rwhp...im not sure how much JUST full boltons gets you..but Im pretty sure cams will get you about 15-20rwhp...so boltons and a good tune may get the job done...

thanks,On this ride Im going more for looks,Im growing out of my racing stage,even so having a high 12 1/4lt1 was a blast,I believe the mustang looks better and is more comfotable to drive in,then any f-bod,But I still want a pretty fast car,so I feel 300 hp at the crank is reasonable,Im not looking to get rid of the side exhaust cause Id have to change my bodykit,and i think it looks cool and sounds nice,here's some more Qs for u guy's

1)are long tubes illegal in Ca,(they were with my lt1 cause u had to relocate the cats)and will they fit with my side exhaust,
2) how hard are headers to install,In my f-bod it was a nightmare
3)is 111k to many mile's to run NOS with this engine
4)what 1/4 time would I run with 260 rwp
