ive had my stang up to 150, and yes i did this with 4.10 gears. i dont know how much it had left though. so for people saying its not possible to go faster than 140 dont know what they are talking about.

to me... a SPORTS car should NEVER include a auto. i can understand a build drag car.. but for the general public.....a sports car should ALWAYS be manual. more fun and just better.../my close minded opinion hehe

+1 i totally 100% agree with you Hoss. If you build a drag car then auto ftw. But for a regular mustang? No way would i get an auto!
And i guess 150 is possible. I forget that i like at 8500 ft and cars are 20% slower up here

I can also say that these cars are capable of 150mph stock. My 03 GT, auto when it was all stock I had the needle pinned, so I don't know how fast, but it will do it. I was amazed, I mean talk about an awesome bang for your buck car, Back when I bought it I paid 17k, name another car you can get for less than 20k that will do 14 second 1/4 mile and cabable of 150 top speed, quite the bargain if you ask me..... I also agree that up t0 130ish the acceleration is pretty decent, it struggles a bit after that, and it is no easy ride, deff. white knuckled, lol,,,, and to the nay sayers, no I do not reccomend trying it, I did it at my own risk when there were no other cars on the road.... As for speed limiters, the 'verts are limited as are the GT's that came with 16" rims, dont know why but thats how it is.
