I have 555R 275s on my current wheels which are 17x8. They look ok, but I also have another set of wheels with 275 tires and they look massive in comparison to the 555Rs.

I'm going to switch to a 17x9 inch wheel. Will the 275 Nittos look a little wider, or should I go with 315 Nittos? I put on a set of 17x9s with 275 BFG drag radials, and the car looks sick. [&:]

can you put 315's? on 17x9? i thought you needed atleast 10.5's

With most other tires, yes the 315s are too big for a 9 inch wheel, but I read somewhere on here that the Nitto 555R 315 tire is small enough to fit a 9 inch wheel.

I just wonder if the 275 555R will look wider on a 9 inch wheel when compared to an 8 inch wheel.

Oh no. Here we go again. The 315 555r is not as wide as other 315's. I ran them on my 17x9's and they looked great, and performed even better.

I think* Nitto 315's fit on a 9" wheel because they run slimmer than most brands. It would be most helpful if someone had pictures.

I have 555 315 Nitto's on a 10.5 rim and they are a "just fit"! I'd say you'd be fine putting Nitto 315 on a 9!
