Default Lowering car...ETs?

I have a 1999 cobra and it has basically stock suspension. If i lowered it with new shocks and Struts and springs would it improve my ETs. Ive heard both ways would like to hear what you guys think.

It can be lowered with a drag suspension and still hook[8D] Mine's lowered 1.5" or so.

ya if i could put drag lauch springs on my car i would but i have irs because its a cobra

I'm not sure if it would improve ure et's but Maximum Motorsports has IRS specific stuff that improve grip which WOULD improve et's.

It depends on what you're looking to do. Lots of lowering kits have firm springs which are ideal for handling, but not so much drag racing. Stick with drag racing specific stuff and it will help you out.

Most lowing springs are stiffer to provide even loading for improved handling and will hurt weight transfer which is needed for a good launch.

Yes, the weight transfer is key when you have lots of power. Lower springs won't help but hurt that. Look for a drag launch kit.

thanx for the input guys ya i think ill just find a straight axle kit for it so i can use drag launch springs. does any one know if the front shocks are the same from a cobra to a GT
