PM Darkhorse...if he is still around. I know he did a 5.4. I think amoosenamedhank is in the middle of one too. I think you will have fitment probs w. the blower even w/ a cowl hood. You might have to cut the hood.

tranny can stay as it will bolt right up. The T-45's are junk though if you have a 5spd??? You'll need the engine harness, comuter harness and the computer. You might have to cut and splice some wires to make them fit as well. The drivetrain like driveshaft and rear diff can stay the same. Driveshaft needs to be replaced if you change the tranny out. I think the motor mounts are diff heights. Bole patterns are the same, but you may need the 5.4 mounts.

well I think in the other forum they were talking about the none supercharge 5.4, but the one I am going to buy it will be supercharge, so I am not really sure about that intake manifold they were talking about.

I'm about 90% through the swap right now.(I've been at 90% for awhile now). The motor mounts are the same, you will have a lot of problems if you run the lightning supercharger though. I've seen people with 4" cowls that still have to cut the hood. I went a different route. I took the 5.4 and but a centri s/c on. I had to make my own intake manifold and headers but at least I can almost get under a stock hood!!! There are a few things to watch out for, if you have any more specific questions shoot me a PM.

one more question. are the lightning superchargers the same as the 03 cobras? if they are,can i put a cobra throttle into the supercharger to have more clearance between the hood and the engine?

why don't you get the 5.4 to 4.6 intake manifold spacers from MMR? then you can run a 2v intake, and there are plenty good one of those!
