Default track results are in!

1st off my camera was being a PITA, I charged the batteries but for some reason when you go to video tape it would turn itself off (I guess the batteries are bad). I had a friend video tape some runs with his camera, as soon as I get the vids I'll post them up. I drove to the track with the skinnies but the car didn't feel right, it kept pulling hard to the left and was p!ss!ng me off. I get to the track and swap out the nittos for the slicks. I line up with my buddy that has an '06 GTO. I do my burnout, stage, push the clutch in and mash the gas to the floor and to my suprise my 2 step isn't working and the tach swept to like 6500rpm. I let off and tried to raise the rpms back up, as I looked up the tree was turing green. I hit it and blew the tires off, let off and hit it again and spun like crazy. This was that run
1.1787 r/t (I usually cut close to a .500)
2.0453 60' (on M/T ET Drags![:'(])
5.5580 330'
8.4118 1/8 et
86.12 1/8 mph
12.8969 1/4 et
110.00 1/4 mph
so right about now I made my 1st pass and it was a flop and got my a$$ handed to me as well. Needless to say I wasn't too happy.

my next run, I knew not to try the 2 step, did a much bigger burnout and got better traction, but launched it like a pvssy. That netted me a..
.7085 r/t
1.7751 60' (still sucks for me being on slicks!)
5.2049 330'
8.0186 1/8 et
85.91 1/8 mph
12.4725 1/4 et
110.78 1/4 mph
now I'm thinking... okay I dropped .4 + within 1 pass, not bad since I haven't been to the track in years and alsochanged just about everything on the car.

next pass was a
.4817 r/t (red light)
1.7690 60' (this was my last pass on slicks)
5.2093 330'
8.0294 1/8 et
85.70 1/8 mph
12.4869 1/4 et
110.48 1/4 mph

The last 3 passes I made were on nittos.
.3591 r/t (got tired of waiting)
1.8357 60'
5.2984 330'
8.1079 1/8 et
87.53 1/8 mph (the car was actually pick up mph on the shorter tire)
12.5438 1/4 mph (my 1st pass on nittos)
111.22 mph

.5003!!! r/t (too bad I wasn't bracket racing)
1.8801 60'
5.2301 330'
8.1380 1/8 et
87.23 1/8 mph
12.5842 1/4 et
111.14 1/4 mph

.6423 r/t
1.8882 60'
5.3642 330'
8.1820 1/8 et
87.07 1/8 mph
12.6194 1/4 et
111.17 1/4 mph.

My friend with the 11 sec NA z28 that I mentioned in another thread was there, his ran 12.teens - .3's and maybe a .4. On all the passes I was fighting to keep the car straight and on the ride home figured out why. I developed a vibration and pulled over to check the tire pressure and look at the suspension components all looked well. It got so bad that I cruised down the interstate at 55mph and turned off the radio to listen for anything odd and then it happened... tick, tick, tick, tick. I pull over and the steel belts are coming out one of my skinnies. My dumb a$$ must have put them on the wrong side (the aren't directional and I never marked them). So besides the breakdown on the side of the interstate and having my GM buddies outrun me it was a good day. The temps were in the mid to upper 70's but started to drop for my last 2 runs.
I think with a new set of stickies (maybe 26's for NA passes) and a little more seat time I'll get where I need to be.
So it looks like Zach beat me out of the 1/8 mile spot but I think I'll settle for the 1/4 mile spot for a while.

So my best was...
r/t= .5003, 60'= 1.7690, 330'= 5.2049, 1/8 ET= 8.0186, 1/8 MPH= 87.53,1/4 ET= 12.4725, 1/4 MPH= 111.22

Why no spray times? I'm curious to see what you'd run. How big a shot are you tuned for?

Awesome times none the less. What's done suspension wise?

thanks guys. I can't run nitrous untill I get my problem fixed. We tried to tune it for the nitrous and it started melting spark plugs. Once I get that I'll spray a 150 shot. My car has always done well on the spray so I'm looking for some nice times once I do.
