Need some advice badly
 

A local dealer has a 2002 GT 5 Spd sliver black built wheels with a polished lip, flowmast catback system, tinted, with 26K miles, clother interior. i can trade straight up would anyone do it. my car which is 2003 Trueblue GT black leather interior,17K milesCobra wheels, tinted, Flowmaster catback, 3:73's, mach 1 delete kit, ebiach sportline springs. everything else i have will be taken off the car, blower, tb/plenum, programmer, mofia and gauges.

The reason i am thinking so strongly on the trade is my car is AUTO. but it is a 03 with the 8thread spark plugs and the 4R75W tranny.

What do u guys think?? and i will be doing all the work myself so no labour costs.

Have you had your car the whole time since new? The reason I am asking is no telling what the other car has gone through. I would save up some money and go for an upgrade to a 4V, although I am a little biased.

nope i wouldn't do it, b/c i would just swap out your automatic transmission for a t-56. I think D&D performance sells a kit.

better head threads
nicer interior
lower miles
already has mods installed

if a manual is worth that much to you, i would look into the link about ....they have the kit for $2900

The T-56 Kit looks good but i will still have to finda used set of pedels which shouldn't be that hard. whats going to be the issue with the cars computer if i do the switch over from auto to T-56. i have a programmer can a tune be loaded on that and take care of my problems if any.

I wouldn't do it. You can not just trade with the dealer, they always win somehow... and they are not going to tell you how.

I would just keep your car and either build up the tranny; jmod, stall, tranny cooler, etc.

or

do the swap as others have stated.

If you want faster times, a built auto is the way to go, if you just want to have more fun with it, a 5sp swapp is in your future.

You just need to have the computer reflashed with a standard set up.

As much fun as it is to have a 5 speed... I would rather have an automatic... it was fun for a while... now its annoying.
