They don't have a wider tire for a 16 inch wheel? If they do not, look for a BFG drag radial if you really want to hook and go, but be cautious because I hear they suck in rain and they wear out quickly.

A Nitto 555R should still hook up better than a regular street tire, but are these wheels for drag use or for DD? I see in your sig you have a different set of wheels.

M/T makes DR's don't they? I'm pretty sure they're not all that expensive, but don't quote me on that.. Both BFG and M/T are good, but like 99GTvert said, both will wear out pretty quick if you're rough on tires..

Just use for weekends then?

Get a stickier tire. Look for a BFG drag radial, or M/T ET streets (they make a ****load of different named tires).

On a 16" rim the Nitto's won't really be that expensive.. I've got 17x9.5's on the mach, and I paid about 165-ish a tire for the 555R's I have.. the smaller the rim size is the cheaper it is usually unless you go with something UBER expensive like Falken..

Meeehhh... You're going to get mixed opinions on that one.. some will say they hook better on the street than the strip, some the other way around.. Me personally I don't mind the way they hook a bit.. They certainly do a hell of a lot better at hooking than the POS Goodyear ZR45's the mach came with that's for sure.. M/T's might be a little more price-wise, but they're probably an all around best bet, with Nitto and BFG right close behind them.. Just my opinion though..
