Question on a Blown 96 Cobra
I recently got a Vortech Stage 1 Supercharger , its pumping at about 7-8 Psi at the moment on my 32 valve DOHC Cobra , Im thinking about getting a smaller Pulley for bigger boost, how how do yall think i can go without having to worry about blowing up the motor for boost? Im not sure what they can handle. Its got bout 20k miles on it right now. Any Sugesstion will be greatly appreciated thanks.

RE: Question on a Blown 96 Cobra
The motor has 20k or the charger??? Whats the TOTAL motor mileage? If you want to up the boost to around 10 you first have to make sure your pump can handle the fuel.. I assume you got the T-rex inline pump with the SC kit. Also, you need to go to high octane fuel...93 wont cut it on our motors with any more that 6-7psi. You might also need to get a boost-a-spark from KB and some cooler plugs. An intercooler will help tons, and might save you from running race gas all the time. You DD this car??

RE: Question on a Blown 96 Cobra
The motor itself has 20k , Im not positive on the charger, it has alot less tho. I do have a aftermarket fuel pump for it , a rear mount. I Put nothingbut super in it already and it has always been run on nothing but ful synthetic oil. Any recommendations on agood Intercooler sites, from what ive heard the price ranges like crazy on the costs . what do You mean by DD?

RE: Question on a Blown 96 Cobra
DD means Daily Driven... sorry.
Doesnt vortech make a intercooler kit for our cars? The are going to be expensive either way you look at it, some customization might be needed as well.. but when you wanna push some boost thru our cars thats what you gotta do. Pay to play man. And still 93 might not be good enough, unless you can get better stuff than that
