what part of Louisiana? I'm from Slidell, but about to get on a teleconference for work. When I get back I'll reply.

New orleans man! we all go to the races alot down here also! You should come hang out at treasure chest where we all meet up every sunday!
I use to go out to Haynes but haven't been there in a while. Are there any fast car at the treasure chest?

Exhaust, tuner, gears -- in that order...

The OEM exhaust is rather restrictive, the OEM 87 octane tune just plain sucks, and the OEM 3.27:1 gears were selected to keep the EPA happy.

Once you have your exhaust, tuner, and gears, id work on the suspension of the car. Get yourself some lowering springs, Caster/camber plates, new shocks and struts, lower control arms, and maybe look into building the rear end with 31 spline forged axles and a cobra differential while youre doing the gears. Then come some drag radials. That should be good for a low 13 second 1/4. Then if you want, you can spray the thing...hook up a 100 or 125 shot and watch those 12 second timeslips come flooding in.

I'd pretty much do everything you see in CliffyK's signature, with the exception of probably going with a 4.10 gear. be sure and get a sticky tire for the rear and you should be in pretty good shape..at least capable of mid 13's. I know you've got your pulley which is fine and all, but there's a lot of mods like that that should really take a backseat to exhaust, gears, and a tune. And...don't buy a CAI.
