Theres a big difference between slicks and a drag radial... you can drive a nitto on the street everyday, and IMO a nitto is more than enough tire to really hook up on any bolton only 2v on the street.

Street tires suck.
I can't get past a 2.2 60ft because of spin. I would suggest launch at idle and nail it. That is what I found works with the tires I have installed. Go around the water box also. I have a 5 speed. This is why after I rebuild my T-loc it is some drag radials for me.
