OPINIONS ON BEST TIRES TO BUY
I currently have 245-45-17s dunlop fm901 sports.with 99 cobra r wheels 17-9. i really need some new tires. any suggesstions on size? price? brand? either going with 245's again or 255-45-17. or maybe 245's front with 275's back but would like to rotate. any suggestions?

those tires are actually kinda small for your rims. AM and tire rack recommend 275/40-17's.
i would go with 275/40-17 Nitto555's. they're a little more expensive than a lot of other tires but they're pretty much the best u can get short of drag radials

I do a fair share of driving and i go to the track about once a month but most is just back and forth to work. i was looking at the kumho tires, seam like there nice and fairly cheep. i was also looking at these tires called Falkens to. really liked the falkens just dont know what they would look like on the car. The nitto tires are nice but for there price i think id just go with some goodyears or dunlops like i have now. just want to try something different, a little bigger and still have some quality. now im fighting with size, maybe 255's all the way around 275's just sound like there going to rub. thanks for the input everyone

Don't put 245's on a 9" wheel. Just go with 275's all around. 245 is the correct size for an 8" wheel.
