so i was cruizin yesterday and i saw a 2003 mach1 in azure blue for sale at a used car lot so i pull in and the thing isnt in the best shape but i love the machs it has a small tear in the drivers seat and the passenger front rim is bent. it does however have cobra big brake kits on it h&r lower springs upper& lower control arms (not sure on brand) bassani catted x pipe, slp lm1's, steeda strut tower brace, steeda caster camber plates, aftermarket throttle body and kn fipk2 cai. they have it listed for 14900 and i know i can get them down to probably 12500 because of the rim, the fact that it has a dirty engine bay and a few minor scratches. now i had my car appraised three weeks ago when i almost traded iit for a 04 cobra with 9000 miles. the big for dealer wanted to give me 13900 for my gt vert wit 40k miles on it do you think it would be a good idea for me to trade my gt for the mach with a 30000 mile difference i love the look of the mach and the price seems to be right and it may even lower my payments down a little bit actually it would lower them down alot. what do you guys think???? ill get pics of the mach when i go to talk with them again on saturday.

Im going to agree with steve0914 about it being ragged out. I would say as many little defects are on the outside that the person before didn't care about their car a lot and probably didn't take care of it like they should of mechanically.

thats what i was thinkin but if they give me the right price like under 10k ill probably just buy it and fix the defects and resell it for a profit

74k is a pretty average amount of miles for an 03...

I would say jump on it...stock GT vert for a sweet modded 03 Mach? definitely

its not a house... dont expect to make a profit with a 03 mach... unless you got one for like $3,000 in perfect condition from a dying older gentlemen itll probably end up a money pit for you. if your looking for an upgrade then by all means go for it HOWEVER, those mods would suspect me to believe its been beaten fairly badly and unless it was an even trade i wouldnt consider it.. the dealer isnt stupid.. do you honestly think he will just trade a car for a car straight up? even though yours has less miles KBB has a MACH 1 value seperate from GT for a reason, its a unique car and the dealer probably will ask for cash (no more then 1500 id guess) in which case i wouldnt trade.
again though if you want to trade and wanted those mods speifically by all means go for it, fix up engine a bit and re-do some parts and its all chill [8D]

A dealer offered you that much money for your car? wow i would take it n walk away unless you like your car alot. I would put that as a down payment on a Cobra....

ya i was gonna but the prob was they wanted 32900 for the cobra and i still owe 10000 on my car so i would end up with a 29000 cobra, even with the 9k miles i dont think 29000 is a good price for a cobra they usually go for 24000around my area
