Ok I'm replacing my fender and i have all the bolts off except I cannot figure out how to get it away from the antenna base? I pryed the black part off and unsrewed it from the fender so its dangling but the actual base is too big to fit through the hole and theres a link there that looks like it comes off? I cannot figure this out...

omg this is so stupid..... is there anyway to get this off without unhooking it from the back of the cd player? because that aftermarket unit was in there when i bought the car and i cant for the life of me figure out how that one comes out...

do you guys know what I'm talking about? I'm trying to take the passenger side fender off but the antenna base and wire is keeping me from pulling the fender away from the car. I already have it unscrewed from the fender

i tried to cut and paste instructions but apparently things like that are too complicated for forums, and resulted in forbidden errors. lawl

He is talking about the base right. If the 3 screews are removed pull up on the base and you can disconnect from the bottom of the base just pull down on the rubber gromet and the orange wire i beleive will slide out just like the one going into the back of the radio. If it wont disconnect their for some reason you can disconnect it from the inside drop the glove box down (you dont have to take it all the way off just let it fall all the down push in on the sides of the glove compartment) you can disconnect iot right there too its kindof taped up with the black tape just unplug it. Slide it through the opening.

wow. ok I got it. the wire was just stuck... it did come apart where i thought it would.
