Default hood cutting

how would i go about safely cutting my fiberglass hood? i want to cut the section behind the cowl out and add a mesh to make it a heat extractor hood, i hate having a big hood that does aboslutely nothing for me, tons of ricer comments being made lol

i did this on a v6 hood, you need a very very small spinning blade (home depot sells kits like these) and just go bit by bit, make all the marks before hand, itll make a HUGE mess of white powder. you can use a sawsall or dye grinder but those are a thick cut and make BIG cuts..
otherwise should work out OK and home depot or a hardware store has mesh wires you can pick out from and attach to the hood =D
good luck

Be a big boy and tell them to F off!!

I used a Dremel tool with a heavy duty cut off wheel and a jig saw with fine blade blade to cut my stock hood for my CDC Shaker kit.

I'm sure if you could easily sell your hood to some other member who has a black stang. They would kill for that hood and really wouldn't give a sh*t what other people said about it. I personally like the look of your ride. Sell the hood and buy what you like

No, thats way to big... that will cause cracks in the hood or produce way to much heat... like this
http://www.minicrafttools.com/kits.html

very bottom, use the carbon blade.
i have a similar kit but mine is HUGE and has about 100 different bits, for hood cutting you just need the carbon blade (its seriously no bigger then 3" across) and the sanding bit to fix the edges after you do your cutting
send me a PM with your email address and ill send you some before and after pics on a hood i worked on
