UPDATE on Purple Bucket rebuild
Heads are done, block is done and crank is in process. Also, forged Diamond pistons (15.5:1 CR) are ordered as well as forged Manley Chevrolet rods, 3/8 Comp Cams pushrods and a few other secret goodies.
The goal is between 725-730 HP N/A and to have it on the dyno within 4 weeks. The install in the car will take a 1/2 a day and then it's off to the track to see how she'll do.
Will keep ya posted.

What motor is in it again? 408, right?

RE: UPDATE on Purple Bucket rebuild
Thanks guys. The motor will be spun close to 8,000RPMS. We also installed splayed main caps to strengthen it to a 4 bolt main and punched 60 over. The rods are 4", so "I" am guessing cubes will be around 415-418.
The goals for the car are mid 9's N/A with a few other surprises around the corner. The valve job on the heads is AMAZING and we will be putting them on the flow bench to see how well they do.
