Default Best Mods for 98 2V??

Just got my 98 Gt in April 82,000 for 6000. Best Car I've owned
Put on SLP LM2 catback, King Cobra Clutch, Steeda kit, Cobra Rims and tires (315/35).
Everything else is stock and i need a little more power. I don't want to spend a-lot, I need to start saving!
However, I was thinking of possibly doing the PI INTAKE SWAP only but was wondering if it would be worth the hassle of tearing it apart?? I don't want to get all the way down to the cams b/c it's my daily driver and i rather not have to go that far. I just need a little more power.
OR should i go with a BBK cold air system and 70-75mm throttle body? It is my daily driver so I was concerned with rain/snow with the cold air kit?
Also, the SLP is a nice tone but i would like more throatiness. I am thinking of getting rid of the stock h-pipe and get somethiing else. I want the 2 high flow cats though just for DOT purposes. What midpipe would you recommend??
Any other ideas for some cheap power to wake up the 2V a little please share. And hopefully this does not become a "GET a 4v motor" or anything like that. I already wish i did! Maybe for my second car.

full pi swap can give you 60rwhp, fairly cheap mod for huge gains

I would keep the stock NPI heads but change out the PI Intake and possible PI cams. A-lot of you guys would probably say while you are there just do the cams. I am debating. What kind of increase would a PI intake, no cam and catted x/h pipe get me. 15-25?? That should be pretty noticeable??? CAI's and TB's seem to be a waste of money as i continue reading.

For most nonPI cars(like yours) the best semi cheap mod to do is a full PI swap w/ the heads, cams, and intake, OR nitrous. I think the PI heads and intake will be your best bet. You will actually raise your compression some and be a bit better off than the 99+ PI engines.

Defenitly get the gears. Thats should hold you over for a little while. Then you can save for the PI swap or whatever route you choose to go.

a pi swap is an intensive thing for a for a DD, the gears will do alot to wake up the car. i would go with the gears first and see if you want more (which u will) and then think about a full or partial pi swap. you could also do full boltons which will make it feal like a new car.
underdrives, TB, cai, etc. etc.

edit: oh and a pi intake swap on your car wouldent do alot bad hp to $ ratio. do a pi cam and intake, pi head and intake, or full pi.

full pi swap and 4.10 gears and you will be very happy with it. or you could get some ported pi heads and do the swap that way. and i have a PI motor for sale if anyone wants one. and you would want a catted x pipe with the lm2's.

I am now thinking of just getting the 4.10 gears for now. I hear Ford Racing is a good company and other good ones. I want no gear whine and i do 50-60% of highway driving. I want some better low end power. Where would 4.10's give me more power???

Also I have the stock h pipe, other than noise it must be restricting my power, but by how much? If it is not that much i can just get a set of SLP shotgun resonators for around town then put the mufflers back on for inspection. Is the power increase going to be worth $400 for the x pipe, because the LM2's sound good but the LM!'s will sound better

PI swaps are for babies mommas, people that are cheap that have too much time on their hands and for people who like just enough nitrous blow up their intake.

The higher compress is good for a Nitrous car. But if you using nitrous on a stock bottom end you're on limited time unless you do it right which takes money.

Fast, Cheap, and Reliable... Pick two.
