**** royal purple yep I said it.Its a piece of **** oil and all the hype for it is bunch of crap. Friend of mine blew a built motor with that oil in there. Run Mobil 1 full synthetic and you'll be good.

I liked the K&N oil filter quality a bit more than the Bosch filter, plus with that hex on the case, no worry about it ever being too tight.
What do you guys think about Motorcraft semi synthetic? i put that in last time, just because it was $2.50 a quart.

I run Mobil1 in all the cars but Run RP in all the quads. I guess I like them both
I have found it easier to get Mobil1 at most stores and RP is harder to find. I would just stick with the Mobil for that fact alone.

As far as oils go for conventional oil valvoline and castrol, for synthic oils mobil 1 and amsoil. For oil filters I like WIX or the amsoil oil filters, motorcraft is ok just not a fan now the motorcraft oil is havoline oil or it used to be it my be someone else now.

I use motorcraft synthetic blend w/ mobil 1 extended performance filter. its ok, id want to go full synthetic, but whenever i buy oil i think of the manual suggestions and peoples horror stories of blown engines with synthetic oil or whatever and i chicken out and keep it safe with the motorcraft. anyways, im going for engine longivity, not freeing up horsepower.

Royal Purple has more detergents than Mobil1 which may be a good or a bad thing. In higher mileage engines where the dirt has worked it's way into seals and actually reinforces the seal it can be detrimental. The Royal Purple detergent attacks the contaminants and indirectly can ruin seals.
