Best Tuner?
#12
+1 about sniper their tune works great without modifying it at all. Very easy to use if you just stick with the tune it creates. You don't have to be talented or anything to use the software. I would only modify a sniper tune if you have a power adder because the tune sniper automatically makes is conservative so you will have to subtract fuel and add timing (safely) to get optimum power. Modifying their N/A tune probably won't do anything spectacular anyways. All in all, I'm glad the guys on here told me to go with sniper a while back.

Somehow I think that b-itch is deserving it. Man, would I love to do that to a couple b-itch's I know.
I bet she doesn't get in his face anymore...hehehe

It depends. An SCT is nice because it is very easy to use and basically every speed shop in the world can tune them, But if you dont plan on taking it to a dyno the sct doesn't give you that much versatility.
Sniper Special Forces is probablly the best all around, It is not as simple as the SCT, but It lets you adjust literally everything that could possibly be adjusted in the computer.
If I could do it again I would take the Sniper Package.

he has one now. look at his sig, lol. such an old thread.
Anyways, i have sniper and I love software, datalogger and the adjustable settings. However no dynos tune with the them. There is a few tricks you need to know before fine tunning too.
-fine tuning does not get loaded in a saved file. Thus if you want to add a degree of timing you need to remember what you had before and then add +1 to that. Same with fuel. The WOT fuel adjustment is backwards too, <1.0 makes is richer and >1.0 makes it leaner. Its different from the rest of the adjustments, so be careful when tuning.
-Get a wideband to tune the fuel too, thats important. I was running around at 15.5ish at WOT for a while and didn't know until I got a wideband

To clarify however,
Delta Forces Tuning's Special Forces is a menu driven system, that lets you make selections and enter information about your setup, and then builds a custom base tune that can be further tweaked to control timing and fueling globally and in 3 rpm ranges.
It is very capable and beats any handheld hands down, however it is not a full low level tuning system like Delta Force's Commando which does literally let you alter everything and anything there is to set and control...
