Default What is the rule of thumb?

this is kinda a stupid question, but i just looked at my headlights last night and i noticed that they got some moisture in them so they got a little foggy ---

i have the smoked clear corners from AM and i sealed them with RTV sealant. so im going to reseal them today, BUT my question is, are you supposed to take the headlights off and put your old ones back on for winter? because i will if it means not F8cking up my semi-new headlights

You could drill some SMALL holes in the lowest corner of the light and see if water will drain out.. But that really sucks if you get water in there already. Make sure the backs are sealed up as well (where the bulb goes in)

As far as "the rule" I never heard of changing headlights because of seasons.....

^^^+1 ive never heard of changing out the headlight for the seasons. sunlight and rocks and dirt are what kills headlights. think about it if your driving behind a truck thats hauling sand on the interstate and its blowing off on your car its getting sandblasted in a way. i wax my headlights when i do my car to help with the sunlight.

I got the same moisture in my smoked clear corner lights. I am going to drill a hole in them because I noticed that since they have been sitting on the shelf in my garage they don't get any moisture.

alright thanks for the info guys... i just resealed my headlights and absolutely sealed the sh*t outta them.... i could try drilling into them but i think ill cry if i do that to my basically new headlights

the only thing i can think of if it happens again is that its becase i broke the lightbulb area thing. i cant explain. i only took a small piece off, and the HID insulation stuff covers the hole, but it might just be..

thats really confusing^^^ it only really just happened b/c it was like 20 degrees out.. i just dont wanna f*ck up my headlights. if thats the case, ill switch them out

ox, lemme know how the drilling goes
