i get about 200 to the tank with my supercharger and stock rear gears. you might get about 220 out of it due to the different charger system. but not sure... buy it and enjoy the gas while its cheap.

Maybe he was talking highway miles? On the highway I can get 360 to a tank with the six speed, so with a five speed and a decent rear gear I could easily see getting 280 a tank on the highway with a blower

Look up the retail value within your area on something like KBB, but even that isn't going to be accurate right now. It's tough to tell because car resellers and insurance companies value cars differently.

But yes, if the car is OEM saleen parts, they have to put those back on the car if it is crashed. Make sure it is an authentic saleen (white number on the front bumper)

There's an area over in the Saleen, Roush, etc... subsection where you can post the VIN # and bumper # and we'll tell you if it matches that car for 2001.

Insurance can be tricky. Some companies will do what others have mentioned, and cover all the OEM Saleen parts if you get into an accident. Other companies will say that their responsibility is to do repairs in order to get you back into a 2001 Mustang GT. I've heard both scenarios....so just be clear on what you are covering with your agent.

Values of Saleens can be found at NADA's website (they have their own category under "Saleen" not "Ford").

I use to get 270 miles/tank of gas out of my Cobra around town like clockwork. As you can guess, that's a driver-dependant variable. I get around 14 or 15 MPG in my Extreme (520 bhp/570 btq). Figure a 2001 Saleen SC will probably fall somewhere between 17 - 22 MPG.
