Depends...mine sounds kinda like a jet...lol
the older less efficient ones are louder..vortechs are like dead silent.
Mine is loud as hell at idle and when I boost its kinda like a high pitches turbo sound but its mostly drowned out by exhaust
The bypass valve makes cool noises too.

theres nothing wrong with that . thats why theres different types of blowers for peoples specific goals for the car.Im just more of the guy that rather not be in boost all the time if im just driving around on the streets and i dont have to worry too much about gas mileage.
they are not constantly in boost. why does everyone think that they are?
