Default Guys with drag radials... COME IN!

Tire Talk!

I am looking to pick up a new set of DR's... 275/17's

List what you have, how many miles they lasted and your experience with them, pros cons etc.... Last season i bought BFG's on the advice of a lot of people and they did not last long at all, maybe i got a couple of duds

i have 275/45/17 nitto drag's with 2,700 miles on them and 15 small track burnouts and they are almost like new. they are a great tire for the street not so much for the track.

I'd recommend using MT ET Street Radials. They last a lil bit longer than the BFGs and they hook great. I used some BFG DRs on my Cobra and they wore the tread lines right off in no time flat.

I've got the 275/40 17 Nitto DR's and they seem to work great on the street, just not quite as good as the BFG's or MT ET streets on the track. I've got probably 7k in miles on mine and there's been very little tread wear on em brudda.. Depends on how often you plan on going to the track, but if you're going to be getting lots of track time, I'd go with the MT's like other guys have said.

I have a set of slicks for the track, so its not an issue.. i just want something that is going to take the power on the street.... I am up over the 500 mark currently with prob close to 600 ftlbs of tq... guys with MT's what kind of miles are you getting out of them?

buying nittos for traction is like buying a dumptruck for gas mileage is the best way i can put it.
