(the guy owned a 99 cobra that he redid the seats for and it feels 100x better than a terminators seats and the best part is that they look stock.)
Was this a special price or should I be able to look around locally and find someone willing to do it for about that? That seems really cheap.

ive checked into reupholstering my front and back seats to look like the 03-04 cobras with more bolster up front ad it was more like 1000.00 depending on the fabrics being used.

why pay extra to make it look like cobra seats? I was going to have it redone in black alcantara leather/red suede inset for the front 2 seats with a bit more material added in to make the bolsters higher. The thing was this guy was going to do it as a side job.

I have a pair of Corbeau Forza's mounted on Fox manual bases that cut a lot of weight. Seat quality is very poor IMO, but the serve the purpose. They also do not tilt to allow easy entry to the rear seat.

Yeah I just got off the phone with my grandfather (he does upholstery work) and he said he could beef up the bolstering, use charcoal vinyl for the sides (it holds up better than leather) and a gray suede insert for the middle all for around $3-400. I am really excited, thanks for the ideas guys...it just saved me a bunch of money and frustration.

BTW it may be possible for me to get you guys reupholstered for a good price. I will talk to him about the possibility of doing some other seats. If he wants the work, I will let you all know and depending on the materials and the work you want done it may be a cheap alternative to buying new seats.
