Default Check Engine and Low Oil lights on... Help??

I have a 96 GT. Recently the check engine light came on and then after I changed the oil, the low oil light came on? What do i do?
My dad and I went to Advance Auto Parts and borrowed their Code checking thingamabob. We accidentally cleared the codes and the check engine light went off but not the low oil light. Then shortly after, the check engine light came back on... So now, both lights are still on...
What should I do?
Thanks, Michael

hey when you park your car do you park it down hill? in our cars if you park it nose first down a hill the low oil light will come on even if your not low on oil, mine does it every time.

just try disconnecting the + side of the battery, then touch the + battery wire to the body and let all the juice outta the car (use a screwdriver to arc it if it wont reach if you have to) this should reset it... if it comes back on then its not a false read.

+.... confirm +..... i dont want you to blow yourself up by doing this with the - side haha.

sorry about your pre set programmed radio stations.

Alright Thanks guys.
I got the "Low Oil" light to go off... I knew i had plenty of oil, checked the dipstick frequently, so I started ignoring it. Then, my friends and I were doing donuts and zippin around the mall parking lot when the low oil light went off... haha...

Now, just the check engine light is on. I am going to try what Mad suggested with disconnecting the battery tomorrow, thanks guys.
