Default 03 cobra running gear in my 98?

ive been thinking about selling my 98 GT but this is the first real project mustang ive bought...i know i know my 92 but i bought that with all the parts to put it together so it might as well of been done already lol... so i think im gunna keep it and turn it into my own project dream car

i was thinking about how to build it and i want to get 500hp to the ground i was thinking about building a super 2v but i cam across the package mps sells... its a complete 03 running gear... complete engine, tranny, wireing harness, radiator, and everything else you need even the steering column and guage cluster for $9,000 would that be my best way of going about reaching my 500hp i know they are only rated at 390 stock but i know theres alot of potential in that motor not to mention its the terminator! lol i should be getting my enlistment bonus soon so i figured id dump it into my car lol if this is my best bet how hard would u say to do this swap ive done motor swaps b4 but they were all carb'd motors my whole family is full of electricians so wireing shouldnt be a major problem but is there anything i should look out for when doing this?

thanks,
chance

$9000 is 1/2 the price for a termi, less in this market, imo maybe just buy one lol.

OR build your 2v which i would like to see.

building a fast 2v imo is pretty sweet, cuz its a 2v and people "hate em" because its not a 4v. but if you had a termi under the hood of a 98, that would b pretty sick too

If he bought everything new he could not build a 2v for the same price. Supercharge kit alone would be $4k plus another 5 for the forged short block, heads and cams. Then he still has the T-45.

It's a huge chunk of dough but if you're thrifty you could probably do it for less.

it would be cool to say you have a cobra drivetrain but if your just after the power and dont care about having a 4v or not then just build your 2v. 9 grand would get you the power you want and leave a little left over to address the handling. so its really up to you about what you want to do. 4v's are nice but 500 hp is very easy with a 2v also.

I really don't think you guys realize $9,000 really doesn't get you that far.

I'll do this one more time
$5,000 for short block, heads and cams
$3,500-4000 for supercharger kit
$2,500 for the transmission
and now you have a car with a lot less street manors then a cobra would.

Hell, even if you picked up a ported Eaton (or had yours ported) you would still spend less and have a reliable, like stock 500+ hp car.

i dont think you understand the "cool factor" of having a cobradrive train in a 94-98 sn-95. theres no arguing that you can do soo much more with 9000.00 than what you could get out of the 03-04 cobra's engine but you are also getting a 6 speed trans AND a irs suspention. some people like the looks and being able to brag that they have a 03/04 cobra drivetrain in there car.
