Default Supercharging a 1996 4.6 mustang

Hi, I'm evaluating to install a supercharger to my Mustang.
I was offered a used one, could anybody tell me what should I check on the supercharger before installation or what should be replaced?
I'm also plan to change the clutch. Should I take care about any other part in order to handle the extra power (transmission, etc)?

Thanks,

Depending on how much power you plan on running you will probably want to upgrade your transmission and your rear end as well.

on a stock bottom end hes not going to make enough power to have to worry about the tranny or rear end...esp with an npi gt

the motor will blow before the tranny/rear

As far as the rear is concerned it just depends on what kind of launches he is doing with that power and using sticky tires. Also, the tranny is only rated for 325ft/lb...

i guess true about the rear...but you can break a rear end with a stock motor if you dont drive it properly...sc shouldnt affect that...although i have heard of the 28 spline stuff breaking pretty easily...but a blown npi gt isnt going to be making much hp either

t45s usually hold up to more than 325ft/lb ... theres plenty of members here with blown gts using the stock tranny...at the same time, that also depends how you drive...i could put my car is second gear and dump the clutch at 6k... im sure ide manage to break a lot of stuff and its mostly stock lol
