Default Anyone else running a 315/35/17 Nitto drag radial?

I just placed my order on Jegs, and was wondering if anyone had any results for this size. I know my heavy 10.5 wheels arent the best for drag racing, but I was on a budget with this purchase. And time was an issue. The track opens in a week, so I want to be ready when it opens. I dont want to go through what I did the couple times I made it to the track last year with the sumi's. 2.4 sixty's arent going to cut it. So if anyone knows some trick for these tires or has some experience with this size hit me up.

nittos are good if you heat them up. When you do your burnout, get mad at those tires and roast the **** out of em.

Cancel order and at least get BFG's, MT's would be optimal!!!

I thought about the BFG's. Trust me I thought about everything. I have heard good and bad reviews for the Nitto's. I have read they need a lot of heat. Wait until heavy white smokes is rolling off, then stage, and slip the clutch, dont dump it. So we will see in about a week, as I will post slip's.

I have heard that too 99 GT, I honestly think the Nitto's were the best decision concidering everything I had to take into account. In reality I just need a tire to make it through this season of racing then I will go all out next winter and run a Hoosier drag radial with my 31 splines. But for this year the credit cards won the battle and need paid off. I had my hopes up too, so this is better then nothing or running my sumi's again at the track and dealing with 2.4 sixty's spinning half the 1/8...

I do a small burnout (4-5 seconds) and at 21 psi I cut a best of 1.60 60' with a 3800 2 step launch and a slight bog. I think at 4-4200 rpm I could have gotten in the 1.5's!
at :45 you can see my typical Nitto burnout, around 4 or 5 seconds I let off the brake and ride the burnout out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBAU0...e=channel_page

here's my actual 1.60 run
