Does your boost start to drop off at those rpms?

like 1PSI after 6900 RPM from what I've noticed. I'm not sure why, but o well. I've probably only taken it to 7100RPM twice, usually I shift around ~6700

Either way, the crank pulley helps out a little bit.

Your boost drops because your not making enough to support that high rpm. I shift at 6300rpms which is where I hit max boost. I'm going to get a 2.75 pulley soon to make more boost since 19lbs is all I can make right now.

so you're saying MORE boost is the solution? or more power? hah, well, isn't that rich.

Where I'm at right now, at 7000RPM, the blower is only being spun 51000RPM, so I still have two pulley sizes to go before it's even at it's redline, which would put me at like 18PSI of boost.

That just seems like TOO much power for me, if you know what I mean

What pulley are you running to hit 16psi while having a free flowing motor?

3" 8rib Vortech renegade pulley. But I also run an 18% innovators west overdrive crank pulley. Plus I only spin it to 6400rpm. It comes on like a twin screw almost. At 6400 I'm close to 55000k on the blower that's where the s-trim runs out of breath.. That's how fast I plan on spinning the T-trim. I also have a ultra restrictive IC. I paid 100 shipped of ebay.

People have been over spinning the S and T-trims forever. Vortech has always underated their head units.

What do you consider a restrictive Ebay intercooler? I have one and it performs great. (doughboy has the same one)

The one I have lol.

I built mine years ago before most would even considered it, Everyone told me I would be sorry and it would absorb to much boost. I think it performs well, but is no way threadstone etc. After mine it was like every tom dick and harry was doing it, Making write ups etc.

I do think it absorbs some for the fact that it took smaller pulleys to make amount of boost comparded to others with less restrictive ic's, But I have always seemed to make more than usual numbers too and have lower IAT's
