The Mustang sounding stressed at higher revs is was directed tword the 2v (as this is the 1996-2004 section) replacing an airbox is going to do next to nothing for a 2v car.

And its not the sound of your car wanting to breath better, its the heads and cams being pushed beyond they efficiency range.

Also as to pulling the extra hp the G35's take fairly very well to bolt-ons. Here is a basic Bolton test as a comparison. I am certainly not saying the new mustangs don't have potential or they are slow by any means, but they G35's do have a good bit of Bolt-on potential.

Lastly that test is with VQ35DE not the VQ35HR which was put in the later G35's so the stock power isn't as good.

my npi manual mustang with full exhaust, tune, ran the same exact time as my friends g35auto with exhaust/intake. both from dig at the track and a bunch of freeway pulls. every races we pretty much tied.

I raced a turbocharged G35 the other day to 75mph because that's where I shut off and I had a full car and a half on him both times.

I told him at the light that I'm shutting down at 75mph, so rules were set before we ran em. Had it been a 1/4 mile, he would have caught me and passed me with ease.

Was it because of traction issues.

the new 370zs are as fast or faster than stock 2010 GTs, they cost a bit more to.

Defcon if you were asking me if my race the G had traction issues, that answer is no. I've got a pretty strong torque curve and usually get the same result with most cars I race....I tear them out of the hole, they catch up by mid 70's mph.

As I said had it been a 1/4 mile run he would have caught and passed me.
