Default ? pertaining to my vortech.

Im just wondering if my car will be alright to drive to a tuner after installing a focus pump, 60lb injectors and a 90mm lightning maf, its about 70 miles away from where i live. its a kit ive parted together so no canned tune to load up.

Do you have any tuning software yet? I already had a diablo chip from a my previous tune so what I did was just drive my computer w/chip to the tuner... he installed a base tune to run with the larger injectors and MAF sensor. Then I drove the car up to him.

Your question is flawed from the beginning because if you change your injectors and Maf the car wouldn't run without at least those parameters changed in your tune.

Although what you could do is leave the stock maf and injectors in (IF YOU DONT HIT BOOST) and change them when you get to the tuners.

Math for boosted Mustangs and wrong decisions

(NO TUNE + BOOST = BOOM!) + (YOU + CRYING)

With a 90mm maf, 42# injectors, 255lph fuel pump, and -1 colder plugs the most i was comfortable with was starting the car.

I have the same set up and I didn't even want to start the car with out the base tune. You will foil those plugs up pretty quick.

Ya, it's deff taking a chance. I had mine started for about 2 minutes, filled the garage with raw fuel and shut it off.

Most places you can rent a dovetail trailer for 50 bucks a day. I figured that after all the money you are putting in anyways its really not much and you'll be kicking yourself later if something else bad does happen.
