Question Buying 1st Mustang, is this worth it?

I am about to buy my first mustang, I want the previous body style, a GT and for it to be yellow. I found a 2001 yellow GT convertible with 94K miles, the ower said that he just installed:

Flow masters
New stereo system
Alarm with automatic start

Just last month, he is asking for 9k, but he said that he will take 8.5k cash for it. Is this a good deal? I really like the car!!! Or I can get a white 2003 convertible not GT thought 73k miles for the same price? Any help is appreciated, thanks!!!!There are pics below

seems like a pretty good deal if it been taken care of.

Get some new headlights for it though cause they look weathered!

2002.

Looks like a nice car. Look at the engine bay if it's clean, chances are they took really good car of it. I've seen some engine bays that were disgusting.

I tried but he says that:

1. He has to use the part of the money I give him to pay off the remainder that he owes to the bank.
2. He just added all that new stuff less than a month ago.

The KBB value says 7.8k

I still should try to talk him down more?
