it's got 124k on the chassis, so no matter what, that car is only going to blue book/retail for around 6400 AT THE MOST, so if it were in an accident, the damages only need be at 6400 for them to total it, probably less.

If he has a baby, he cant wait for a serious buyer, he's got to move on it.

I mean I know if I had a kid, and I needed to sell my car, i'd probably let it go for 10k, even though it's probably worth around 15k

So this is what I am going to do. Tomorrow we are taking a look at each other's cars. I am going to have him bring the receipts to basically prove the mods.. I am not doubting what he has in it cuz he's got receipts and you can see what is put on it. I am just worried something could be wrong with it somewhere else. If all goes well.. i'll get it. And then i'll have a pretty decent car. Really whats the worst case that could happen? The engine is on warantee. So if the trans blows.. who cares.. thats what 2000.. bringing me to a total of 8400 for the car. Still not as much as most would pay for it anyways. I'll take some pictures when i see the car tomorrow of everything. Thanks for everyone who has added their comments!

Well - I would definitely check out the car but willing to bet that motor in that car has 124 K. The factory new replacement probably never happened I am willing to bet he probably knows a buddy who works at ford and he gave him a receipt.

I would get a copy of invoice and call the dealership service department and confirm VIN # and work done if it were me. If I am right you have a beaten 124K car that has been sitting. The logic here does not make any sense especially if he has a new born why the hell would he want a small elipse it is smaller than a mustang. I have kids and it goes not make any sense.

If his car is what he is saying it is he could probably sell it for 7500 bucks.

The saying never gets old "I'm selling my car because I have a baby on the way" or "My baby was just born and I can't fit it in my car" lol. I'll have to add the loud car part to the list later.
