Default comp pi vs. npi cams

I was just cruising CMM and looking at the cams. and i noticed comp cams makes cams for both pi and npi motors. what if i wanted to put the pi stage2 N/A cams(w/ springs) in my npi heads. that would still work right? or would i have to buy the stage2 npi cams?

from my understanding, pi cams have pressed on cam sprockets, and npi aren't (that's how mine were).

I'm guessing that's the only difference
