Default p71 pi motor vs. gt pi motor

I'm hoping someone can help me out here. but whats the difference between a cop pi motor and our gt pi motors. for example could i use mustang engine parts to work on a pi cop car? i know it has a 4.6 pi motor. like would the cams from cmm work in a crown vic cop car?
i know its random but it would be cool to build a cop car if its the same motor...
