Question: Does using "The Club" or something of the like, wear out your steering?

EVERYONE is right... LOL, no good, so 80's, lol.. and early 90's... jk, who cares what era it's from, just that it is no good...
See that pretty red 93 LX in my sig... well said car slept in the garage (I had it since new..)... 3-4 years after buying it, it had to sleep outside for 3-4 days. I lived in a nice area, no where near black 'hoods, no crack dealer in the corner type of place...etc... anyway..
.... I woke up one a.m. to find a some red wire on the ground (I gather they cut my alarm's power wire or wire to the siren... and they were nice enough to leave me the CLUB behind.. Police said they just cut the steering wheel, slid club off and drive away...
I personally don't have an alarm any longer on my current mustang, just insurance... Let the insurance company worry about it, sc.rew it I pay them enough..
