Hey MForums,

I got a question for you guys(gals). I know someone that is selling a set of 03 cobra mirrors and I am very interested, however, there's a catch. There's always a catch One of the mirrors is without the mirror. I'd actually have to replace the glass if I bough them. I called Ford and in all there wisdom, didn't think that I could buy replacement glass for the 03 cobra mirrors, for the v6/gt models, I could but since when has Ford always been right? Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here has replaced their 03/04 cobra mirrors or know of any websites that actually sell replacement mirrors for the 03/04 cobra and not only the basic v6/gt model. Thanks guys.

I actually think they are the same. Not 100% for sure, but the size/shape of them are the same as the v6/GT with the only difference being that they are painted.

I would paint the stock mirrors. I think the cobras are different in shape and they fold. It would be cheaper and easier just to paint the stock ones.

Any glass shop should be able to cut new mirrors for you. They may need to use the old one as a template.

+1 on checking with a glass shop. i don't think the GT mirror would fit inside the cobra housing, but i could be wrong

The mirror glass is different for the cobra vs the GT. How did the glass get damaged? Is the glass totally missing or is it just shattered? If the glass backing (which usually snaps into the mount and the glass is glued onto) isn't there you'll have to glue a custom cut glass onto the mount itself which will render the mirror inop except maybe by hand. Not a big deal if you set the mirror in place where you need it and leave it. In my experience though 9/10 times a mirror glass is broken the housing is garbage too.

Hmmm I am not sure how it got damaged but I believe the housing is ok. I know the glass is different from the v6/gt mirrors. Just wondering if anyone knows if I can get replacement glass online.
