Default Cams & Headers or Kenne Bell?

I have a 99 GT with all the basic bolt-ons. I was wondering what the more beneficial upgrade would be though. I have been thinking about cams and some headers for awhile but recently thought about getting a Kenne Bell blower. If i went with the cams and headers I could have them bought and on the car by July. If i went with the blower i would have to save up for awhile and then I could buy one. Would it be a better idea to save and go with the blower or just go with the cams and headers now? The motor had 97000 on it and is used mostly on the street but will be used on the strip semi often. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks,
Landon

kenne bell. you will spend approx. $2,500 or so for the cams and headers + install. for 40-50hp.... you are half way there for the KB which will yeild 120-160 hp....
seems to be a no brainer for me.

my words exactly, why would u spend 2k or more just to have 300whp. save up a lil more and get the blower! trust me its worth it

deff go with the kenne bell over the cams and headers. you will not regret the results in what the blower does. if you plan on keeping the car, deff start saving after you make the kenne bell purchase for a built bottom end, who knows when it can go.

thats what i was leaning towards, i just didnt know with the semi-high mileage if it was a good idea but i plan on keeping the car forever so i guess the KB would be a good investment.

to order from KB though you must call them because they do not go through vendors? am i correct in that statement?

with those miles, I would deff do heads/cams and then internals first.

the motor will be fine..... mine has 84,000 miles. and still runs great. Buy the blower then save for the shortblock and then get P+P heads with cams. then you are done.
