Lowering street tires to 15psi? Brave man. Foolish, but brave.
idk maybe 2/10 if you get it to a 1.7 but your car did farely well. congrats

The only way I could launch on them was to launch at maybe 1500rpms and pedal it, hit 2nd, pedal a little more and then floor it the rest of the way (would get a little squirrly hitting 3rd too).

There was a similarly modded GT with drag radials that I ran against a few times. He was definitely hooking up and getting better 60s but I think my gears are what allowed me to catch him.

So better tires and control arms should be next on my list, right? I don't have plans to make this a strictly drag car. Just to have some fun a couple times a year and not be the car that gets picked on by everyone

I'm just saying that no matter how you thought you were doing, a 1.98 60' is very good for street tires.

DRs should be your next modification before anymore suspension parts...if you can get into the 1.79 range, you're probably reaching the limits of your launches based on the fact that you might not be making enough power to get it much lower.

You've probably got 13.4's in the car as it is now with some tires though, which is very good for such small mods.

Agree ! if you have street tires just spin them once or twice to dust them off.

Thanks again for the input! Any recommendations on tires to put on the 17x10.5 rims? Don't need to worry about weather as I have winter wheels and try not to drive in the rain as much as possible.
