Wink Engine Swap on a V6 2003 Mustang.

Ok, so I'm new at this and was looking for some advise. Im looking to swap out my engine for a 5.4L ford engine. I need to know the details on what all I should change out. Also if anyone here has done it maybe how you've liked it and would recommended it. I'm hoping to do it with in the next 2weeks so I would really appriciate the input. Thank you

How about googling it? Good luck on getting it done in the next 2 weeks if you don't have any info on what to do or what you need yet.

Just enjoy the sixxer. If you want a v8 trade in on one.

WELCOME TO MF'S
I was planning on dropping in a 32 valve motor in place of my 16 valve motor this summer. I was talking to my mechanic yesterday and our conversation got me thinking. If I swap engines I also have to change the ECU to the new engines ECU. The new engines ECU will register as a different vehicle when I do the emissions test. All ford ECU modules have the vehicle's VIN logged into it. My mechanic has swapped engines for guys before but they only ran their mustangs under 5000 miles a year to keep it emissions exempt to avoid this problem. Any thoughts...

After reading a lot of threads here on 2v to 4v engine swaps I was under the assumption you didn't need a new ECU, you just had to reflash your old one, all you needed was the harness from the new engine.

You maybe right on that LYNNBOB. I think I'm going to ask " Yo Ken ", just to be sure. Why pay for something I don't need.
