Default thinking bout lowering it but dont know if i should

aight heres the dealio....i have an 04 gt with a nice set of 18" bullit rims and right now its like sitting in the clouds. i want to lower her, prolly a 1.5" drop ( i like how the cobras sit, nice stance). i wanna get rid of that huge gap, bugs the crap out of me and doesnt look nice.

but the catch is i have a little less than a year warranty left on her. shes well maintained she goes into the dealer for all the check ups. bout 56k miles already. and summers coming along too i dunno if i should wait or just go ahead and do it.

to lower or not to lower?

Definitely lower it. I've seen a few New Edge stangs with lowering springs and wheel spacers and they have a totally different stance.

Planning to lower mine this summer

I would lower her, definitely a much meaner stance but I know the problem i have is that the roads where I live are crap and I scrape everywhere so you gotta look at the whole picture. If you do lower do it I would look into if it voids the warranty and if it does wait it out

Well lowering it should only void the suspension part of the warranty right? If so, who cares? lol If you really break or wear out a suspension peice replace it with something better.

The roads around here are pretty ****ty in spots but I don't have a problem with my car. The only thing that sucks is steep entrance/exits sometimes i scrape my mach 1 lip on, and big speed bumps of death. lol Normal speed bumps are fine, I just go slow over them or avoid them when possible.

Just go for it! Seriously you will love the meaner stance, one of my favorite mods still.

I know what your talking about my 02 looks like its lifted lol. I think you should do it. It would make it look so much nicer. I'm going to lower mine as soon as I have the time.

I'm not sure it would void your warranty. My local Ford dealership sells and installs an FRPP upgrade suspension package. It consists of springs, shocks, struts and sway bars. I've been told it basically upgrades the GT to the Bullitt/Mach 1 suspension. It lowers the car 3/4". Not as much as some but considering that I already hit bottom on some of these roads I really don't want to go lower. One of the dealerships near here even sell Roush superchargers that do not void your warranty.

well i looked into it and it does void the warranty if mess with the suspension, but im leaning towards lowering her. i wanna do it right too, like upgrade all the necessary parts for lowering the suspension.
