Help me get to the track

let me start off by saying im 20 years old in college living with my mom.
me and a buddy were going to go to Houston to run our cars, but my mom will not let me because insurance will not cover me if i wreck it at the track(which will not happen), i have already tried telling her its safer than messing around on the street but all she says if insurance will cover the street not the track, please please help me with some ideas to persuade her to let me go, ive never been to the track because the closest one is like 2.5 hours away and im dying to go. any persuading advise helps

Uh, tell her your 20 years old, a legal adult, and you'll do what you want. If you wreck it then you'll pay for it.

Ask her if insurance covers a meteor shower that crushes your house.

I agree. And it would be crazy to race on the street because not only then are you at risk but youre putting innocent people at risk. You hit someone racing on the street and you are 17 different kinds of screwed. The track is the safest with a very controlled set up.

Ask her if she has flood insurance.

pretty much cant pull the im 20 thing and its my car thing, i got it when i was 17 so its in her name even though i pay for it

machracer11 04-22-2009 01:18 PM

maybe this is just me being sneaky but why not just go without her knowing and hope for the best, it is easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission

fausty 04-22-2009 01:19 PM
