Default early 4.6L + nitrous questions

i have a 1994 thunderbird 4.6L 2v it has an sct chip. i just recently bought a nos sniper kit for it and am leary about putting it on there with the sct chip on there. does anyone know if this engine has knock sensors that will retard the timing in case of knock while spraying. i am only planning on running a 50-75 shot. i was thinking that this may be a small enough shot that it might not matter that much. please anyone that has experience with nitrous give me your input

thanks for your answers, i think atleast for my first few pulls i'm going to remove my sct chip, and get it retuned later. and do you think a 100 shot would be fine on a completely stock engine?

you should be fine if you don't go over 100 shot. I knew someone with a mach 1 and it held a 100 shot ok. no knock no problems. you know so many people fear spray just because of a few bad apple's setting it up wrong or running to much and blowing there ****. Just as long as you set it up right 50-75 should cool.
