Default Rear Tires...

I posted this in the wheels and tires section, but it doesn't seem to get much traffic:

I am looking at a pair of used pirelli's for my rear wheels. Here is a picture of the tires...I am a bit confused about the curved blocks down the center. Can both of these tires be mounted on the rear wheels or are they two right hand / left hand tires that are being sold as a set? I don't want to buy two 285's if they are meant to run on the same side.

those tires are a symmetrical which means one side is ment to go towards the out side and the other side goes inwards they can be used on either side of the car

So if I understand the explanation correctly, they can both be run on the rear wheels at the same time...and since they are asymmetrical, it doesn't matter which side either tire gets mounted on....correct? Thanks for the help.

Just make sure they mount them correctly on the rims to go on each side of the car.

those look like a much worn down version of these PZero Rosso 'asimmetrico' tires. looks like they can both be run on that back no problems.
