Hey guys I know a lot of people have discussed this problem before but I wanted to make sure of a few things. I have an 02 GT with a TR3650
-If I am parked in neutral it makes a rattling noise coming from the shifter area, if i depress the clutch pedal the noise goes away
-If I go to a high speed (maybe upper 4th gear ~110mph) and just coast down the tranny makes an even louder rattle noise
I have talked to some people and they say it sounds like a bad throw-out bearing, I was planning on doing a clutch later this summer so would be replacing it when I do that anyways.

First of all I was wondering if my problem sounds like a bad TOB?
Second I was curious to if it was my TOB would it be very harmful to my tranny to wait to replace it till later in the summer or if it is in need immediate attention?
Could doing the 3.2Q TSB fix this problem? or is it for sure the TOB?

You can hold off for a little while at to replace the TOB. Mines been squeaking for about a year :|

the tob on my old 01 GT made noise from the day I got it to the day I sold it, 2+ years. You'll be fine.

Mine squealed for about a year then it exploded into about 5 good size pieces ball bearing went everywhere in my bell house. I say drive it till it goes out unless its really annoying. Why you are in there might as well as do the clutch if you plan on doing performance mods.

When yours exploded did it damage your tranny too or did the TOB just blow up and cause no other damage?
